February 5, 2012 - All of my p. alleni are gone and I've decided not to continue keeping these. I would rather have a nice planted tank with lots of activity than have a stark crayfish tank.

I've also decided not to continue with the mollies as I need the tank space for the betta spawns right now.

I still have 6 fry from the last LFBNP spawn which are about 2-3 inches in size now. I lost the male after this spawn and only recently acquired a new mature male. He and the female haven't worked things out yet for another spawn, but the female is huge with eggs so I keep expecting him to be in the cave anytime. He has investigated it a few times so I'm hopeful. I plan to keep all the fry until I know their sexes just in case this male and the mother aren't compatible with each other.

May 28, 2011 - I have some P. alleni "Electric Blue Crayfish" available for sale now (See stock shop for particulars).

April 6, 2011 - Although bettas are my first love and take over much of my tank space, I also keep several other species. Recently some of them have been spawning for me.

I keep several mollies in a brackish tank and they spawn for me fairly regularly. Among them, I have a trio of sailfin Chocolate mollies. These guys I raise and sell locally to either fellow aquarists who might like them or trade them at a local fish store which I frequent.

I also have a spawning pair of longfinned (veiltail) Bristlenose Plecos (regular coloration) which have begun to successfully spawn for me. Although I've had two spawns so far from this pair, I have only one fry so far. The male has been in his cave for a week or more with another clutch of eggs, so hopefully a few more will be along soon.

I keep a pair of p. alleni (Electric Blue Crayfish) in a large "community tank". I keep the pair together with a dozen or so each of young bosemani rainbowfish, columbian tetras, harlequin rasboras and celestial pearl danios. Eventually I hope to put a school of rummynose tetras in the tank as well. This is a very active tank and alot of fun to watch. I recently put a large blue LED bubblewall in the tank which turns on/off slightly before/after the main lights. It's really cool to watch the fish in the dark with the LED lights on - they almost glow. The crayfish recently had babies for me. The craybabies are currently in a spawning tank growing up and I will sell them locally when they are large enough.
