March 24, 2012 - This is still a good sized spawn and growing nicely. Many of the males are starting to develop some finnage and I'll soon have to jar a few of them. I don't have many jars left though!

February 5, 2012 - This is a good sized spawn and they are growing adequately. They also suffered from the lack of viable BBS when my hatchery failed me, but have picked up their growth now that the hatchery is working again. I removed the father and moved them into a larger tank a couple of weeks ago and they are growing better now.

January 6, 2012 - They are free swimming today and I'll be starting them on some VE tonight. I had to laugh at Dad this morning - when I came down to check on them before work, he came rushing over to the nest flaring "you stay away from my kids!"

January 2, 2012 - Spawned today. I tried this male with another female and they had spawned yesterday, but the female had no eggs. First time I've ever seen a female with absolutely no eggs. I introduced his sibling last night and they spawned this evening. I had hoped for an outcross, but circumstances denied it. There appear to be lots of eggs in the nest.
